WG-22
Emergency Services |
Unmanned aircraft with their 24/7 'eye in the sky' capability can provide rapid 'situational awareness' for first responders and scene commanders. This working group aims to identify end-user objectives and demonstrate affordable UAS technology within the emergency services community.

WG-23
Regional and Local Government |
Modern cities require modern local governments. Unmanned aircraft have the potential to assist council officers in day-to-day management tasks. The aim of this working group is to study the myriad of applications for councils and to develop a business implementation strategy for their employment and operation.

|
WG-24
Maritime Applications |
Recently, we have seen successful demonstrations of larger unmanned aircraft in the maritime surveillance role. This working group intends to explore advances in miniature UAS technology and look at deploying them from smaller watercraft and patrol vessels for close-range tasks.

WG-25
Asset & Vegetation
Management
|
The aim of this working group is to develop and test a variety of concept technology demonstrators to identify the business model required to supply UAS products and services within a number of industry sectors requiring aerial sensing for asset, environmental and vegetation management.
|
|
WG-26
UAS Educational |
Introducing UAV technology subjects to secondary school programs provides students the opportunity to receive a rewarding educational experience and introduction to the emerging UAS industry. We feel this industry will soon offer the possibility of long term employment for those interested in UAS.

|
WG-27
Insurance, Risk and Compliance Management |
UAS technology has been successfully demonstrated throughout the world on numerous occasions. However, to ensure the best opportunity for long-term commercial uptake a number of issues need to be addressed. This working group will address UAS Insurance, Compliance and Risk Management for the benefit of all Australian and NZ UAS stakeholders.

GIS Remote Sensing |
UAS technology has the potential to deliver Australia significant economic benefits in regional communities. Frequent low-cost remote sensing of the landscape will deliver higher yields for less cost per unit produced increasing profit while minimising "man's" impact on the Environment. WG 29 addresses this opportunity.
